Mercedes-Benz Pulls Smart Franchise from Penske

In a surprise move, Roger Penske's auto group will lose the Smart USA franchise by mid-2011 to Mercedes-Benz. That will likely end plans to add a Nissan-made four-seater to the Smart line-up, TheDetroitBureau.com reports.
